This is the first real smallsmart wireless Fuel Gauge for most carburetor engines. I have been working on the iFuel for more than a 1.5 years to get it just right. I’ve made the iFuel first for personal use, but everybody around me wanted one too. So, i started this company to bring a nicegadget to our community.
The thing is with precision equipment is that you have to have good sensors. And good sensors need to be calibrated. The calibration process takes over one hour per sensor. I have searched the internet for the best sensor i could get for a viable price for a good device. A better ( high res.) solution would be a sensor that of which the pricing starts at about 2500 Euro’s and weighs about 3000% more. So not viable for our hobby.
After all that time the best i could find is the sensori’m using. This sensor is running at very low resolution @ 3 L/H and varies from a low to high quite a lot between sensors caused by friction in low flow rates. 3 Liters an hour is really counting DROPS… it’s not a lot of liquid a second to get a good resolution. Which makes it a problem using it as plug and play device.
So for this application and precision it’s a necessity to make it a custom device calibrated to your average fuel usage. Which means, that you will have to give me an average fuel usage in liters per hour that your machine uses.. plus or minus 0,5 liter. And i’ll give you of a max. +1 – +3% deviation.
No more thinking about your fuel. Just press a button and you can see how much and how long you have.
